Anybody willing to give me their opinion on BL series and how it relates to lgbt+ issues? Are there people who differentiate between BL and actual lgbt+ people? If so, why? Also, what do gay men actually think of BL and how it portrays them? Do you have any issues with it?

Are there things that you wish, as a gay man, would be portrayed better?

I’m bored and want to know what people really think. Personally, I like BL but there is so many things that need to be improved and considering they are making profit off of gay people’ stories, I think the least they could do is let gay people have a say in it.

At the VERY least, when gay men give their opinion on a story, authors and other ppl involved should listen. There are good stories written by het authors but yeah... it’s always good to have the ppl your story is about involved in the creation process, whether series or book.
