Why monbebes are a horrible fanbase that did NOT fight for wonho and we need to stop acting like they did, a thread for ppl who were not in the fandom and dont know the nitty gritty.

right before the follow comeback An out of context clip was used to accuse wonho of making fun of the metoo movement when he very obviously didnt and monbebes were spamming fancafe in the thousands, it was worse than what chen is going through. It went on for a solid week or so

he literally had no one defending him. No one on twitter, no one on fancafe, silence from his members. He was getting absolutely bombarded with hate, even though he has openly supported many feminist programs including ones for comfort women and victims of r@pe

This is the clip in question. Min gives the mic to wonho's nip as a joke and he says "me too". U can clearly see he was looking at someone from the audience and many ppl who were AT THE FANSIGN said that he said "me too" because he wanted minhyuk to let him speak too

at the time of the fansign (jan 2019) literally no one was enraged about it bcus anyone with a brain knew that he wasnt making fun of a movement that he has supported in the past but in OCT 2019 some rando acc with default pfp and header posted it saying hes making fun of metoo??

Monsta X have a history of having defamatory claims made against them right before cb and monbebes knew this, and yet when a random acc posted a clip and connected it to something unrelated monbebes jumped on his throat, and when it was worse than chen i fucking mean it.

The account even tweeted "i posted this at just the right time" they could not make it more obvious that this was purposeful slander and yet monbebes could not connect the dots for even one second. NONE of these past 5 months would've happened, had they taken 5 seconds to THINK

Wonho, minhyuk and even starship posted apologies but the harassment didn't stop. It was fucking horrifying, especially for his fans who knew that his support for women and victims of sexual abuse has always been vocal. Here are the apologies

The harassment did NOT stop and NO ONE stood up for him except for a very select few of his fans. This wasnt just kfans, ppl from all over the world were enabling or directly harassing him over something that THEY misinterpreted.

This is not the first time monbebes have done this. In 2015 they did something similar and left the fandom in masses. They called wonho a swine and a pig for building muscles even tho he's mentioned he has a degenerative disease and needs to exercise to treat it

They harassed hyungwon over him dating someone so bad that he didnt talk to any of them for 6 months and ppl speculate he broke up with the girl over this. During Jooheon's hiatus (caused by him having such severe anxiety that he was hospitalized twice)+

he was spotted with a girl to which monbebes started saying that he was faking it because mentally ill people don't deserve love apparently and if they spend time with their loved ones and trying not to be miserable and to better their lives theyre faking it.

Theres so much other smaller sh1t that monbebes have done to hurt their own group during the 5 years they were active (kmbbs harassing them bcus they were touring in america, being mad at shownu bcus a woman used him to cheat on her husband without his knowledge etc)

what they did to wonho is nothing new. I have no fucking clue why mx have managed to attract such a vile cesspool of a fandom. Anyway, lets continue bcus here's where sh1t hit the fan for real.

Han seohee got involved. She was dating one of Wonho's exes, Jung daeun. When wonho dated her she identified as a trans man but detransitioned and started dating hsh who is a notorious t3rf so yay

anyway these two decided to claim wonho stole some stuff from jde and owed her money. They also claimed he was in juvenile prison and smoked weed. Their story was incredibly inconsistend and half the stolen items weren't even fucking real (like a camera which's model didnt exist)

Now at the time starship's ceo, kim shidae, was having a scandal over bribery in pd101 and possible s3x trafficking. Monbebes, being the geniuses they were, believed hsh and jde too, altho it was mostly the kmbb. the americans grew 2 spare braincells, whopee at theimprovement

So what did starship do? They made wonho post this letter and proceeded to fucking kick him out and dissolve the 5 year contract he had with them on November 1st, 2019. In his letter, he demeans and blames himself.

Monbebe's harassment was a direct contributing factor to this decision. They LOVE using the "I carefully ask that you at least give support and encouragement to the members." line to try and guilt people into supporting their group but not ONCE do they acknowledge the rest of it

Wonho blamed himself entirely for everything that was happening at the time, felt like a burden and felt like mx and his fans would be better off without him. For 5 months, we were worried he might even take his l1fe. This was entirely caused by monbebes

Now initially during the follow promotions there was a lot of publicity over this issue. So many people spoke up, journalists, youtuber, industry professionals, monbebes were being loud in a good way, letters sent phonecalls called

even a silent protest was being organized in front of starship's building. Ppl in this fanbase were finally getting united for once to get wonho back, to make a first! They were gonna change the whole industry, break the wheel!! and I was one of them

but as i was tweeting hashtags and supporting projects I thought of something. Supporting the follow promotions MORe after he left would send sse the message that kicking him out was good and more beneficial to the group. so I made single tweet

"Hey guys what if we organized a formal boycott for a few week until starship reinstates wonho" and when i tell u that all heII broke loose i fucking mean it. I've had harassment campaigns made after me, mass reportings, blocklist, etc.

but many people agreed with me! Many people with basic business literacy started realizing that paying starship MORE money after wonho left sent out the message that yes, this was a good decision, he was a burden and the group is better off without him!

Any form of direct action was shut down? boycotting? nope. a black ocean during one of the performances? nope. another protest? nope. fucking, HASHTAGS that were directed at starship? nope.

People were trying to make ads for wonho and monbebes not only demanded that they include all 7 of the members even tho wh needed it the most, but they eventually turned on ad organizers and deemed the ads bad. in mid december the entire "fight" had regressed into pointless fluff

literally nothing but cutesy hashtags that didnt trend in sk after nov 7th and were barely trending at all anymore, filled w cutesy gifs of wonho and mx. that's it. That was the "fight" stan twitter harps on about. And all actual fighting and action was shut down

and by shut down i mean vioIentIy harassed, buIIied, threatened, mass reported, etc etc. Why? Because "what if it hurts the other boys what if theyre sad :(" which first off, they had kept giving hints for us to keep fighting this entire time and 2. theyre grown men

I cannot overstate the amount of asian infantilization that occurred and was perpetuated by monbebes because they couldn't possibly fathom that men in their mid to late twenties would understand why fans were doing black oceans or protesting in front of the building.

nope these korean boys were too stupid to grasp anything other than cutesy smiles and fluffy hashtags! Starship was overworking them so bad that jooheon got two anxiety attacks, was hospitalized, and couldnt promote all about luv or wish on the same sky.

Did monbebes protest starship's mistreatment in any way? Nope! SSE has made mx perform while injured and sick many many MANY times, and mbbs never did anything. this was no exception. just obedient funneling of money so starship can abuse these people more

Not to mention, starship would always announce new content during and around Kim Shidae's trials over his bribery and possible s3x trafficking. They would badly edit wonho out, and leave little clues here and there to manipulate.

They got that jeff billboard cracker and the american manager eshy to tweet cryptic sh1t to manipulate monbebes into thinking he's coming back and thus buying their product and it worked wonders for them. Like it actually worked.

All About luv did okay-ish eshy and jeff got treated like heroes for no reason, starship didn't lose a single penny from using wonho to distract from their s3x pest CEO and monbebes ate that sh1t up bcus their bottom line has always been content

The fandom was completely split. Many people, me included started unstanning because of how hostile monbebes were. They essentially had formed a cult around "tarotbebes", a selection of people who lied about when wonho was coming back, disguising it as predicitons

Not a single one of their predictions ever came true and all of them discouraged boycotting, protesting, ads, etc etc. Some ppl were speculating they mightve been paid off by epic (mx english distributor) as a form of publicity so mbbs dont cause trouble. and it WORKED

ANYONE who pointed out "hey these ppl keep pulling sh1t out of their ass stop listening to them" got bombarded w harassment as usual. One of them even directly said im evil and "my energy is dark like an abyss" which is metal as fuck and i love it actually

basically a cult. Weirdos manipulating people during a time of crisis, getting "followers" shunning anyone who dares to question them even a little as "spreading negativity" it was a literal bonafide cult and in hindsight its fucking hilarious

Now i will admit that during this time i said some mean things about mx themselves. I said they should disband, that theyre awful people, etc etc. I was very angry at the time and i do want to say that after calming down i do regret saying those things

at the time i DID mean those things when i said them but as time passed i no longer think this way for the most part. There are still SOME things i still stand by, even if my wording a few months ago was much more aggressive. I'll elaborate

I am still upset they didn't do much for wonho himself, but i dont really know the details of their contract so. whatevs. And while i do still think they should disband its for very different reasons than a few months ago

before i wanted them to disband bcus i genuinely couldnt stan looking at them all smiling and happy knowing the absolute bs wonho and his fans went thru but i slowly realized they rly didnt have a choice. Now, i genuinely believe them going their own ways would be better

MX's contracts end in may 2021 and i doubt any of them will sign again. If they disband and start their own careers w new, less terrible fans and away from the abusive company, i genuinely think they'd be better off.

shownu, wonho ck and jooheon will always have my support, but when hw mh and kh thanked shidae on stage and giggled about it, literally right after jooheon wrote on fancafe how he cant leave his room due to the anxiety caused by sse and shidae's abuse i lost all respect for them

kihyun released an ost and a cover of believer and it got no hype outside of a few articles by tabloids and 39 on trending for the cover. AAL charted on billboard for a very short time and free fell. Through their inability bring wonho back and by harassing fans out+

Shownu is enlisting this year, their tour will probably get cancelled due to covid. Their contracts end next may. They had a good run tbh, and I had good memories with them. But the only way for any of these ppl to have a future is when they disband and go their separate ways

Monbebes didnt deserve him. They didnt deserve anyone in MX. i dont particularly like hw kh and mh after everything but they werent bad people inherently. They did things i disagree with, thats it. but they didnt deserve any of this too, all 7 of them deserved better

and most fucking importantly: SUPPORT WONHO. He needs a new, strong fanbase that actually supports him, that doesn't blindly listen to rumors. PLEASE. He has done nothing but be a beacon of pure fucking kindness

There is not ONE bad thing he has ever said about anyone. He has constantly been outspoken of his support for marginalized communities and vulnerable people (and theres heavy speculation and evidence that he may be bisexual himself).

He is struggling from dystrophia (he mentioned it in a very very early vlive) and may possibly be struggling with some kind of mental health issue, as judging by the interviews in this thread.
