This is it! Waiting for the very first BLUE rapid transit bus; the first bus operating on the new spine-and-feeder network in southwest #Winnipeg.

This is the culmination of years of work on the part of the entire @winnipegtransit team, and we are all very excited!
And there it is! The first bus with the word BLUE on it, pulling up to take on its first passengers.
I call this piece "BLUE Sunrise" – at U of M Bus Terminal
I'm glad I was able to head out on the very first trip to make sure everything was working properly. I got to answer a few questions and help people on their way.

All in all, thing are looking good this morning. Thank you again to the team for working so hard to get this going!
Here is some of the public art along the Southwest Transitway. These are the sugarbeets at Plaza Station.
The new Brenda Leipsic dog park at Seel Station
The Rooster Town Kettle at Beaumont Station
Continuing with photos of new BLUE rapid transit line stations and the public art...

Here's the same photo again of the Rooster Town Kettle I like so much, along with photos of the plaque describing it, and a photo of the art showing a Métis child bringing water home on a sled.
Seel Station and the public art there
Chancellor Station and its public art
The fancy new digital displays with real-time schedule information
This Rapid Transit logo at Chancellor Station will look fantastic once the spring clean-up is underway.
It's been great to be out all week, talking with passengers, and helping them find their way on the new BLUE rapid transit line and all of the new feeder routes.

I'll leave it here with one last photo... this one of a bike rack on a BLUE line bus being used early Sunday morning.
