Little Mix being sabotaged by their US label Columbia - a thread

In 2014 the north American leg of their salute tour was cancelled in order to write for their next album. This was little mix’s first proper chance to breakthrough America. They were popular at this time and had sold the majority of their tickets.

Let’s start with the first time we really started to realise. The girls were performing at the i heart festival in 2017, Perrie was sick so she didn’t go. This was their first performance like this in America so it was a big deal. They were given two songs. Touch and wings.

For touch, their mics were too low and the sound was horrible. You could barely hear their voices. One mic turned up at the bridge for Leigh’s note which caused her to have to stop singing. For wings the presenters talked over their first few notes and the backing track ...

which they were not using also played out of time with what they were singing. It was a mess and none of it was their fault. Further proof they sing live. Don’t tell me it’s a coincidence that both tracks got ruined the performance Perrie wasn’t there for.

Obviously the girls couldn’t hear what was going on with their ear pieces but it seemed like they noticed halfway through wings. Jade was also continuously fixing her earpiece. They slayed the performance still as usual.

At this time little mix were rising hugely in America. They had released glory days and performed on Ellen and James Corden and at many award shows and tv shows and also opened up for Ariana that year. After this they still haven’t performed in America like this.

Just before they released LM5 little mix left their main label syco. Syco and Columbia obviously have connections. Ever since this little mix have been blacklisted by them. Apparently they girls wanted more control of their music, which they took but this wasn’t in their contract

From the start both of their labels wanted Perrie to go solo. They called her into many meetings to persuade her but obviously our girl stuck by little mix.

Columbia continued to ignore the existence of little mix to the point where they refused to even tweet about them, despite little mix still being in a 6 album contract with them. We annoyed them enough to get them to tweet about #BreakUpSong tho

Their hit from LM5 woman like me was never even sent to US radios, no US promo or performances yet still sold really well. This was their lead single. This solely is enough proof.

The girls were obviously aware that they were being sabotaged in America. They didn’t actually unfollow Columbia tho it was just a rumour. They have also spoken about not been given a budget for America

The girls have worldwide fame. They had crowds and crowds of people waiting in the airport and outside their hotel when they went to brazil for the first time. They sell out concerts all over the word

This is also just another small thing but Columbia also haven’t bought little mix’s plaques since the gw era so the girls can’t receive them further showing they couldn’t care less about the girls. They deserve them plaques.

Just realised that I forgot to mention that physical copies of LM5 were not even sent out to US stores
