I feel like getting good at producing is starting to use more intricate techniques and complex sound design that you pick up from your influences but mild into your own form and workflow, essentially using them more since u have ur refined way of doing it....

Lemme explain. Like it’s certain processes I seen ppl do like in a genius video, and thought, “that’s dope, but it takes a second to get that specific sound.” Then I end up playing more w the idea until i have my own way of doing something similar but faster...

Now it’s my own thing cus it’s expanded and evolved into a different technique from whoever I got it from and for me it’s as easy as loading in a sound... so it’s like improvement or whatever.
