The Messiah Yahushua’s resurrection should be celebrated everyday. We should thank Him everyday. Believe in Him everyday. Live our lives for Him everyday. A thread:
However, His cruxifixction and resurrection occurred during the feast of Unleavened Bread/Passover.
In Luke 22:14-20 KJV Yahushua states what’s to come: “14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of YHWH.
17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of YHWH shall come.
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.”
John 13:1 also says: “1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Yahushua knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.”
In order to truly worship the day of His resurrection, it’s important to know when it’s truly the time to do so, which is the time of Hebrew Passover.
Each year, Passover falls on different days. Leviticus 23:4-6 states Yahushua’s appointed times: “4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD's passover.
6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.
7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.”
Now, since there were no calendars for people in ancient times to determine dates, I myself had a lot of questions and confusion at first, so I dug deeper for clarity. The remainder of this thread is an overview of what I found:
In the scriptures, the empty tomb is what separates the truth from the deceit that has been taught for so long. The Messiah provided us a sign of how long he would be in the tomb in the book of Matthew.
In Matthew 12:40 it states: “40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”
