2/9/2020: it is now apparent that it is too late for treatment & moving to mitigation & preventing the spread of #COVID19 is what is needed.

2/10/2020: *45 says, “I think the virus is going to be—it’s going to be fine.”

2/9/2020:
James Lawler (Director, clinical & biodefense research U. Nebraska Medical Center) states that without “dramatic NPI” (Nonpharmaceutical Interventions) the spread could be as high as 30 - 40%!

At *45’s New Hampshire rally on 2/10 he said “...And by the way, the virus, they're working hard. Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away, hope that's true.” The “Red Dawn” group already knew it was deadlier than the flu.

Matthew Hepburn from DHS says that the mortality rate of the flu was 0.13% where the rate for #COVID19 came in at 1.7 - 4%. He continues by saying that this virus is 10 - 30 times more deadly than the seasonal flu. The sample used(11m) is from an area that was shutdown & isolated

Later in the email chain on 2/9 Dr. Lee adds this: “And we need pubic engagement now. We need the citizens to know and practice social distancing in a way that best protect(s) them. Every action counts .... We have to move the action timeline forward to the pre-empt stage”

2/13 Dr. Lee expresses frustration with the US officials not confirming that #COVID19 is spread via human to human contact & one official thought that this is all overblown (I’d like to know who that is).

# of cases in the US is now up to 15 confirmed cases.

2/18 The email group has grown and they begin discussing how NPI must be done in a “timely” manner. The healthcare system cannot handle the kind of load expected with even a small infection rate.

Please forgive me folks, but this is taking a long time, I am reading and analyzing the emails & what was publicly said by *45. I’ll be adding to this string what each governor said & actions taken by them from here on ....

From the end of February to the first few days of March, this team has sprung to action. There’s talk about social distancing/quarantine daily. Each day that ticks by, the urgency is raised dramatically.
