Am really bothered by the low numbers of COVID-19 not only in CDO, but in Region 10 as well. Here's why:

[1] CDO is the gateway to Iligan and Bukidnon, as well as its neighboring provinces, where there are already confirmed cases. We are 8 hours away from Davao.
On a weekly basis, a lot of people travel to and from these areas. It is highly likely that these travelers will pass through CDO one away or another. Not to mention interact w/ any resident from CDO who's employed out of town.
[3] Given the high mobility of CDO residents, it is extremely difficult to have "successfully contained" the virus especially since Mayor M/or/e/no declared a Comm Quarantine only after the Metro Manila lockdown, where CDO welcomed back hundreds of return migrants.
[4] So, what could be the cause of the low numbers? Is it the lack of mass testing?

What are the healthcare behaviors & attitudes of Northern Mindanawons? Are they likely to seek medical help when we experience flu or flu-like symptoms?
[5] Gonna highlight this very crucial fact as well:

The COVID-19-referral facility for Region 10 is NMMC, w/c is CDO-based. Say I am from Valencia, Bukidnon w/c is 139km, I will have to travel 3 hrs for a lab test... assuming I have a car.
Okay, end of thread. Just vocalizing what keeps me up most nights these days.

To sum, we in Mindanao really need all the help we can get. So, please consider supporting our fundraising campaign for the benefit of frontliners in NorthMin:
