When I was younger, I thought we weren't well to do because my parents wont buy me those wheelie shoes, polly pockets and barbies. It completely went over my head that my dad just didnt know how to buy the toys that I liked so he just got whatever he got my bro but in pink
So I got pink tamiyas, pink beyblades, red zoids, lego sets with flowers and 'cute' crushgears. Now that I look back, I was super privileged, i didnt get wheelies but my shoes were always branded. I didnt have polly pockets but we had a PS1 & a game boy color before everyone else
I studied in a private school, I had nice things but everyone else had nice things as well so I never realized there were kids who had it harder than me. Really makes you think how environment plays a part in a persons sense of entitlement
I know this thread seems unprovoked but I got this from that thing going around on what makes you a "Rich Kid". I saw. A bunch of people's answers and thought, that was me! I took so many things for granted, now Im super thankful I had it so good.
