I think about this alot, Jesus cursed a fig Tree coz it didnt have any fruit at the time and he was hungry. Then he proceeded to the temple and turned tables.

Obvious case of a hungry man is an angry man. (Anyway hii ni side note)
We use the fig tree as a lesson about one has to be fruitful in salvation. Though you have to note this wasn't a parable it was a real occurrence.
Kwa wikipedia a fig tree can be used for it's fruits and pia as an ornament, a decorative.

Can't go into why Jesus did what he did but i felt sad for the Tree. For me/us. As a species, humans our value has always been measured by how much and what we can give.
Just because my value doesn't fit your immediate need I am rendered useless.

Can it be, i have other value maybe not to you but to other people?
In the case of the fig tree, mayeb it was shade for someone else, a home for birthday and insects, manure for the soil.
*a home for the birds
As a man my place has been cut out to provide - this is ingrained in most of us - so if i come short of this all the other aspects of me are thrown out the window. What if my wife/girlfriend is a better businesswomen? And mi niko tu poa kupika Chapo nakumshuka matuta.? 😂
Christ gave a reason why he did it.

The world is harsh about who and what i should be..

Christ should know better. his presence is the only place i find no judgement.

& that why he died. my belief in him is what qualifies me. Nothing i do or say can earn me his salvation.
Anyway, another thing i think about alot in the Israelites obsession with bread. How Christ had to use it in most of his parables, he was tempted by it and even had to use it as an example of who he is ndio washike.
The story ends with Christ coming back and Peter noticed its withered from the root. And Christ says comments - Mark 11:24.
