Last week the Chancellor announced a £750m financial support package for charities, focused mainly on small charities & those at the front-line of the #COVID19 epidemic. HMRC has also announced that businesses including #charities can defer #VAT payments due from 20 March 2020 until 30 June 2020. Direct debits will need to be cancelled &returns completed as usual. Following lobbying by CTG & others the Government has announced that it will allow theatres & other cultural venues to keep Gift Aid for cancelled events.
