✨ Dramas that I watched (2014) ✨
1. #MeteorGarden (2001)
- classic, iconic, legendary, timeless
- the reason why most of us are in dramaland
- had everyone develop a second lead syndrome at one point
- always worth rewatching but my feels are always there
- I stand my ground and say that it's the best version 😉
2. #MeteorGarden2 (2002)
- I’ve always had mixed feelings about this sequel because while it was such a train-wreck, it still remained iconic for its amnesia storyline and heartbreaking scenes
- cried my heart out for so many of those scenes
- still cursing Ye Sha up to this day
3. #MARS (2004)
- fresh from #MeteorGarden’s success, #BarbieHsu & #VicZhou proved that they’re versatile actors
- a well-loved drama that I didn’t like so much but would still recommend for its solid storyline and acting
- can be terrifying and disturbing so watch with caution
4. #MySplendidLife (2011)
- my first taste of Cdrama and I thought I wasn’t going to watch any more because this was bad
- only worth watching for #JerryYan and nothing else
- #YeddaChen looked cute with Jerry!
- dragged on like there was no tomorrow with its crazy makjang
5. #AutumnsConcerto (2009)
- has all the cliches and ridiculous tropes but it just hits all the right spots
- it's a love story that you would secretly wish to have
- makes you cry, giggle, but most importantly, it just melts your heart
- cast was all kinds of amazing in acting
6. #CornerWithLove (2007)
- typical Taiwanese idol drama with its cliche storyline
- watched it for #BarbieHsu and she was oh-so lovely in this
- made me look for oyster omelette the moment I stepped my foot in Taiwan
- met #DeanFujioka here but didn’t like him as the 3rd lead
7. #WhatIsLove (2012)
- #WuKangRen’s first drama lead role and he just never disappoints
- #JadeChou played the hopeless romantic but feisty female lead so well
- quite dragging but still mostly enjoyed it
- first episode was deceiving and will leave you wondering what’s next
8. #FatedToLoveYou (2008)
- the only drama that I could think of that can both make you cry and laugh your heart out
- this wasn't Taiwan's #1 drama for nothing!
- loved how the leads matured over time by trying to make themselves better until they found each other again
9. #DownWithLove (2010)
- a classic Taiwanese idol rom-com drama
- #JerryYan’s Xiang Yu Ping was all kinds of silly yet so romantic and charming
- savored every episode as it can easily make you feel better
- a modern Cinderella story that could make you cry from laughter
10. #MaterialQueen (2011)
- so much potential with its high-budgeted production but it just all became a mess
- never really hated a female lead character before until #LynnHung’s Lin Chu Man happened
- only stayed for @VanNessVanWu, high fashion, and with Paris as the setting
11. #HanaKimi (2006)
- did nothing but laugh my heart out
- #JiroWang wins all the awards as the best and funniest second male lead ever
- loved #WuChun here, it was such a delight to watch his “bromance” with #EllaChen
- fun fact: #EthanRuan had a funny minor role here!
12. #LeJunKai (2013)
- hated this drama with all my heart
- the domestic abuse was very painful to watch and it made me sad that it’s still prevalent up to this day
- only watched it for #JanineChang and nothing else was good except how short this drama was
13. #RockNRoad (2014)
- of course I had to see #WuKangRen as a musician!
- didn’t like #KimiHsia as the female lead but had me rooting for #NitaLei who was the second lead instead
- story was refreshing for giving us a sneak peek of how things work in the music industry
14. #HotShot (2008)
- story was weak and this is only worth watching for the eye candies like hello, #JerryYan and #WuChun!!!
- hated how they showcased the basketball skills in an exaggerated manner
- super loved the Superman dance that it could easily bring a smile to my face
15. #TheHospital (2006)
- best work of #JerryYan in terms of acting and quality of the story
- quite a heavy watch so have something light to watch after
- it will make you realize that more than treating patients, dealing with hospital politics can even be more stressful
End of this thread! If you noticed, my watching was purely based on my faves and I think that’s how most of us started anyway haha!
