I lived in the UK for 17 years, our kids were born there. We have family there, including family working in the NHS. This is horrific.

And our health systems are not as comparable as the thread suggests. The NHS is in many ways a more well resourced and structured health system than ours. Much better equipped to respond to this crisis than ours. Yet, their death rate is AT LEAST TWICE ours.
