Part of reasons why Africa still has few COVID numbers is bcs of low testing & low health seeking behaviors. Many people are not likely to go to hospital bcs of a cough or an increase in temperature. They will self medicate with lemons, ginger, garlic, honey, mwarobaini, hot water.
If you were to do enough antibody testing, you might discover there are many people who contracted the virus, self medicated na recovered from home. It however doesnt have to be so, at a time like this, always go to hosp when you experience an unusual cough, fever or any of these

Guys we are just hypothesising. Truth is, some African countries have very strong travel, migration and trade relationships with China and links with Europe and America, but we must ask ourselves why are some of these well connected African countries reporting very few cases?
Could it be because Africa has better border screening controls, low travel connections, is it low screening and poor reporting, could it be COVID is being masked by other diseases, or is it that God is just merciful to the poor?
Is it bcs of African traditions of self medication with miti shamba as discussed above. And most importantly, is it related to the warmer climatic conditions in Africa. Notice that most reported cases and fatalities are on the North of the Tropic of Cancer (that's geography)
