That Keir Starmer and Labour’s lawyers have binned the report is good news, but it wouldn’t have protected Corbyn and his team from the EHRC judgement that is coming.
The most telling thing is that even in Sky’s précis of thousands of emails & WhatsApp messages, not one piece of evidence is shown that antisemitism cases were deliberately mishandled by an anti-Corbyn faction. We do have evidence LOTO intervened to protect antisemites though.
They wrote an 860 page report to deflect blame from their leadership, to distract from the emails proving they intervened to protect antisemites, and shift the blame onto staffers in the party. And to top it all off, senior figures are leaking the whitewash report to the press. They want to undermine the EHRC before it finishes its report because they know the book is about to be thrown squarely at them.
