The Rwandan youth accounts for over the half of Rwandan population - more than 60% of 12~ million citizens. It’s worth noting that their reconciliation and peace-building efforts are essential to the healing process.
The generation comprises of young survivors, children born out of rape or to perpetrators, and those born after the Genocide against the Tutsi. Even though they aren’t witnesses to the 1994 tragedies, their stories are emotionally attached to the history.
The youth was heavily involved in destroying #Rwanda before and during 1994. Seeing the rise of peace-building programmes across the country, led by the new youth, is inspiring.
