Please for the love of everything decent, can people stop pretending that commercially distributed kink art featuring child characters is just "survivors working through trauma".

Seeing far too much of this awful take, and knowing a lot of CSA survivors this is absolute bullshit
There are a number of people who play around on the edges of traumatic experiences in consenting situations privately and frankly people can do whatever the fuck they want IMO on that front, but the trend of dickheads going around promoting CSA fetishising art is sketchy as hell.
It *absolutely* is promotion, it definitely will be consumed by perpetrators, it absolutely does legitimise and help create room to organise communities of sexual abusers online in plain sight. I've seen them on Twitter discussing how CSA "isn't always non consensual" and shit.
Blocked by @thorazos yesterday for having held this line, I've lost 5 followers since doing so, and I'm not going to stop speaking up about it.

This isn't about "policing" shit, it's about setting standards within our community in such a way that abuse is not welcome.
It is not right wing to take a firm line against adult sexualisation of subjects who can not consent.

Upholding the rights of children to be treated as people not treated as mere objects of adult desires is in fact a plenty left wing thing. This isn't moral puritanism.
Just adding to this thread, I respect that some CSA survivors have incredibly complex feelings in the aftermath of trauma and need to deal with that.

There's a *huge* line between that and fostering an online subculture grooming young people and selling CSA imagery.
I've been aware of issues around CSA since I was far far too young to and I'm not going to stop standing up for survivors. People trying to conflate dealing with trauma with selling cs art to the public at large need to fucking stop.
