if there wasn’t a magical girl show that was so fucking popular to the point where fans would make a mecha adaption in japan, we wouldn’t have the anime we would have today and that’s making me lose my mind
to explain: there was a magical girl show, people loved that show to the point where people weren’t satisfied w the merch so they thought ‘how about a fuckinh mecha adaption?’ it wasn’t official or anything but fans LOVED IT like they made manga and figurines it was real
but out of sheer adoration for this 1980s magical girl anime, fans were like ‘let’s make a video game :)’ like they even made a promo video that i think aired on tv for this y’all (we’ll get back on this later)
then the computer the game was intended for discontinued, which is why the game never got released and art pregame is pretty hard to find lmao

anyways back to the promo video, it’s highly speculated from a article that many anime producers got their start from this 3 min short
such people is the co founder of studio bones, the company responsible for fma, mha, and so many fucking other animes

like can y’all fucking imagine?? that there was a chance that these animes probably would have never existed or would’ve been picked up by a diff anime company??
end of thread but please watch the video i practicality regurgitated from bc it better explained this shit than me lmao
