The comics industry changes. It's changed before, it will change again. Change can be good. Change is hard, but we will make our way. If you think comics is dying, well there you go, but I 'ain't going nowhere but forward. Making comics all the way.
I've survived just about everything except a direct assault from Frederic Wertham. I saw Sandman denounced for Satanic influence, got my comics picked up in a porn raid that precipitated the formation of the @CBLDF and weathered 5 years of 1990's distribution collapse.
It's always something and there's always some pearl clutcher wailing "THIS IS THE END! THE END!" Shut up. Just shut up. This is a medium, it's not going anywhere. It's method of delivery to the audience is just going to morph. And that's NORMAL.
No one's running around whining that people are going to suddenly stop reading novels because people can't get in bookstores. The audience is there. Things will be rough for awhile. Very rough. People lose jobs, businesses go under. But there will be art. There will be comics.
Comics will make it through. Not everyone who made comics yesterday will be making comics tomorrow. But we'll power through because we have stories to tell and pictures to draw, and that's been a thing since man lived in caves.
