Alveolar instability should be recrutable! Early ARDS is not ARDS if you are able to recruit. Early ARDS = PseudoARDS (1/2)

2 possibilities: 1) COVID19 is a viral pneumonia (w lots of pts presenting early) and pathophys involves recruitable alveolar instability (hence NOT L as in Low recrutability) or 2) Gattinoni discovered a totally new disease involving primarily lung vasculature. #occamsrazor
