BECAUSE I’M BORED:

Nicki Minaj’s perfumes dissected: a thread
I wanna say first that these are all things I’ve noticed & compiled over the years. Some may not be accurate but it’s fun connecting the dots.

Let’s begin!
Let’s start with Nicki’s first fragrance, Pink Friday. Released in 2012. The scent won multiple awards and was a smash hit in the fragrance world.
On the box we see a silhouette derived from Nicki’s King Magazine photoshoot
The bottle is inspired by Nicki’s debut album cover & the iconic pink wig. The gold chain came exclusively on the 100ml bottle, while the pink lipstick came on all sizes except 30ml & below.
Nicki’s next fragrance launch was a lighter, more crisp version of Pink Friday. Pink Friday Special Edition was limited edition & released in 2012.
The bottle & box are very similar to the original, just with a few color changes. This fragrance is the only one in her collection to be released in only 2 sizes, 100ml and 30ml.
The third perfume in Nicki’s line is Minajesty. The new pillar fragrance was launched in 2013, establishing her presence in the celebrity perfume industry.
The bottle takes reference from the outfit Nicki wore when she performed with Madonna at the 2012 Super Bowl. The hair is a style classic to Nicki’s catalogue.
The promotional picture used on the back of Minajesty’s box was an outtake from the Myx Fusions promotional photoshoot.
After Minajesty, Nicki brought back the Pink Friday line with Pink Friday Deluxe Edition. The limited edition perfume was a more sensual take on the original, focusing it’s scent on the the more woody & caramel like notes. It was launched in late 2013.
The bottle took inspiration from Nicki’s 2013 Billboard Awards performance look, among others. This fragrance was launched in only the 100ml size.
Following Deluxe Edition, Nicki expanded her line with Minajesty Exotic Edition. The scent is similar to the original Minajesty with more tropical tones including mango and orange blossom. The extremely limited edition fragrance was sold by HSN exclusively in 2014.
The bottle yet again takes inspiration from a style Nicki is no stranger to.
Shortly following Minajesty, Nicki added Onika to the roster later in 2014. The bottle debuted in the Pills N Potions music video, with a sample being sent out with the Minajesty Exotic bottles by HSN.
The bottle takes inspiration from Nicki’s dress at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards as well as her signature bob.
In 2015, Nicki announced the release of yet another new fragrance on Good Morning America. This one, named The Pinkprint after her album, was sold originally on HSN and shortly afterward distributed to retailers.
The bottle takes inspiration from the iconic album cover it was named after.
In 2016 we learned of a new fragrance by Nicki named Trini Girl. The fragrance was inspired by Nicki’s home country, Trinidad.
The bottle is loosely inspired by Nicki’s stage outfit for her performance at the 2015 VMAs. She performed Trini Dem Girls & The Night Is Still Young with Taylor Swift.
Finally, the latest fragrance release from Nicki Minaj is Queen, released in early 2019. The limited edition fragrance is sold exclusively on http://nickiminajfragrance.com
The box was the first of it’s kind in the Nicki Minaj fragrance line. The velvet gift box with a gold plated front made for a stunning display piece. The plate was inspired by the album cover for Queen.
The bottle references the Queen album cover, with a gold headpiece that can be removed and worn as a bracelet. It is sold only in 100ml bottles and again, is only available on http://nickiminajfragrance.com
