My story about the power Triumph is this: In 2005, my friends and I decided to take a bowling class in college on a whim. My friend Sean and I were TRASH. The final was a class-wide tournament and final grades were based on improvement, not on standing.
Because we were trash, we were seeded in round 1 against the best team in the class. They were like getting strikes every other frame, easy. Day of the exam/tournament, we drove to the bowling spot blasting two tracks: Triumph and the Diamonds from Sierra Leone Remix. It was 2005
We were getting ourselves hyped up on that, tryna shake nerves out. And when it came time for Sean to open up with the first ball, it went right. Strike. "I BOMB ATOMICALLY," and Sean finished the bar. We could tell the dudes we were up against were shook by the bravado.
We bowled the best game of our lives, delivering bars after each pin dropped. The other went on tilt and choked. The professor--a former pro who liked to show off by throwing strikes while kneeling five feet before the lane--ate the whole thing up. It saved our grades. Triumph.
Believe me I know that this story is extremely corny. But Triumph is so powerful that it brings victory even to corny situations.
