If you know some history of science, you know Edison’s primary motivation for perfection the incandescent bulb.

It was to reduce the house fire risk associated with lighting by lantern and candle.

“Closing” the country and “reopening” it helps to reduce the strain on the healthcare system and reduce the total number of cases.

It is an inelegant and less effective way to manage this coronavirus pandemic than the labor intensive test and trace approach taken by South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

Every country in the world is doing a better job than the US managing this disease.

None of them have a better treatment for it.

I strongly doubt in a year or two I will add any treatment of #COVID19 to my list of #gamechangers above.

By that time, the US will have lost 20 to 50 X 9/11 units of human lives (3000).

We will hopefully have an effective vaccination.

We will never have started doing the things that actually work. We will never have adopted the #gamechanger approach.
