Not posting on FB because I don’t have time for my Anti-vax folk. But this is a good read. Takeaway? Immune boosters are bs, but it’s helpful to do the “Duh!” things. Get out in the sunshine, sleep well, eat well, & manage your stress as much as possible. https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20200408-covid-19-can-boosting-your-immune-system-protect-you
I honestly feel like this is a no-brainer, but I also understand how anxiety about the virus can cause us to seek out solutions and remedies. The short story is there’s nothing you can do but live your best life and follow best social distancing and hygiene practices.
If you’re doing everything in your power that is “right” or best practices, I urge you to rest a little. Relax in the knowledge that you ARE doing your best and you can’t expect yourself to do more. Release the need to manage the virus, and control what you can, which is you.
I’ll add that if you believe I’m as zen as I sound, know that I too am struggling. I found this article while nervously researching, after receiving the news that my brother (who I live with) has been instructed to quarantine after one of his coworkers tested positive.
This thread is as much to reassure myself as it is to reassure whoever may come across it. Breathe.
