Last year I created a luxury press on nail thread that got a lot of people interested in press ons, so I thought I would do an updated version! We may be stuck in the house, but our nails can still be done!

Before I get on to showing y& #39;all some gorgeous nails by dope brands, a few things.

Press on nails aren& #39;t meant to stay on forever. How long they stay on depends on a lot of things from YOU. Your lifestyle and how well you apply the nails is a huge factor.

I& #39;ve had nails last two weeks. It& #39;s definitely possible. But not always doable.

To prep my nails for press ons, I wipe my nails with alcohol. This gets rid of the natural oils that could interfere with your nail glue.

Then I push my cuticles back with an orange stick, and file my nails down with an Emery board. This creates a rough surface that helps the nail stick even better.

Some people don& #39;t like glue so there is adhesive you can use as an alternative. I don& #39;t particularly recommend it, but it& #39;s there for people who prefer it.

Many press on nail companies provide size guides on their websites, or an inexpensive sample kit you can use to determine what size nails you need before you purchase. It& #39;s very unlikely you can get a refund, due to the nature of the product, so make sure you get the right size!

A lot of these companies are small businesses that design the nails as they get the order. So please extend grace to them and understand it can be a week or two on average to get your nails. And with USPS going through it right now, a lot is out of the company& #39;s control.

Also, if you& #39;re not into super extravagant nails, most companies offer basic, solid styles to choose from! Some offer decals so you can get creative!

A lot of nails are totally customizable by finish, length, and shape, so don& #39;t feel discouraged if you see a style you love that& #39;s not in your favorite shape! Just ask the company, usually they will be happy to customize the nails for you.
