A thread of some of my favorite female lead horror/action movies.

Starting with: (Alien 1979)
The blueprint for horror movie badass women, Sigourney Weaver. The revolutionary scifi/horror classic. Which spawned one of the greatest action sequels ever, Aliens.
(MAD MAX FURY ROAD 2015) Don't be fooled by the name, this is all Charlize Theron's movie. As the badass Imperator Furiosa, she leads with Tom Hardy in one of the greatest apocalyptic action movies of this decade.
(Annihilation 2018) Natalie Portman leads a female team of scientists and military personnel into "The Shimmer" to figure out what alien presence is threatening earth. This is one of the most original Scifi films to come out of recent memory, and one of my personal favorites.
(You're Next 2011) A home invasion thriller with a twist. Sharon Vinson plays a complete badass survivalist as she fights her way through a deadly home invasion targeting her new family. Bloody, hilarious, and badass.
(REVENGE 2017)The title says it all. Matilda Anna Ingred Lutz. I wont say to much but this movie is ridiculous and dumb, but brilliant at the same time. A fun 80s B movie style flick.
(Atomic Blonde 2017) Another Charlize Theron lead vessel. As an MI6 agent raced to uncover a list of cold war double agents, she brutally fights her way through some of the best action choreographed fight scenes in years.
(The Hunt 2020) Most recently the "controversial" movie to be released is a satire of political affiliations that takes aim at virtually everyone. Betty Gilpin plays a full throttle, hilarious, badass as she fights for survival amidst a Most Dangerous Game type hunt.
(Ready or Not 2019) A simple game of hide and seek goes terribly wrong and leaves Samara Weaving having a really bad day with her new in laws. A fun, different, and risk taking horror comedy that'll leave you refreshed.
