Via @MindyMarques, the Herald& #39;s publisher and exec editor... The suit is going forward, with a different law firm.

Give props to the Herald and its parent company, @mcclatchy, which is pushing this despite having filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy 2 months ago https://twitter.com/MindyMarques/status/1249338909617721346?s=20">https://twitter.com/MindyMarq...
Today’s @MiamiHerald editorial:

“We urge DeSantis to issue a stay-at-home order for himself: Instead of sapping resources to fly around the state to announce this and that, remain in Tallahassee and return his attention to the state of the state” #storylink=cpy">https://www.miamiherald.com/opinion/editorials/article241950596.html #storylink=cpy">https://www.miamiherald.com/opinion/e...
The Herald asked the state to reveal infected homes on March 23 -- over three weeks ago.

The state, which recently intimidated the prominent Holland & Knight law firm into dropping its representation of the Herald, says "the records request is still under review.”
Sorry, missed the other Herald blockbuster.

"A trade group for Florida’s nursing homes is asking to .. be protected against negligence suits. DeSantis is already doing the industry a favor by refusing to name nursing homes where positive tests occurred" #storylink=cpy">https://www.miamiherald.com/news/state/florida/article241966186.html #storylink=cpy">https://www.miamiherald.com/news/stat...
Of course, the nursing homes could reveal on their own if they have infected residents or staff.

And one company is doing so -- @PruittHealth, which is disclosing the number of positive and negative tests.
