Britain is probably the densest population concentration in Europe. Unlike Germany and France, London is the largest conurbation in Europe, and that helped the virus spread more speedily. The places with highest concentrations in the uk are London and the South East. 2/8
Britain has a very high concentration of ethnic minority populations. They are also based in our major cities. The coronavirus seems to affect ethnic minorities disproportionately.

Muslims and Jews are particularly badly hit. This is because we pray regularly with a community. The constant socialising must spread the virus more. Reports suggest that Jews, <0.5% of the population represent 2.2% of cases. This is significant. I suspect likewise w Muslims. 4/8
@TellMamaUK May be able to confirm the rate of #COVID19 infection/death in the Muslim community. I would think also disproportionate.

There is also a strong possibility that there are genetic elements to surviving #COVID19 - we know males are way more susceptible. Similarly type O blood group is less susceptible. Immigrants are more susceptible to diabetes @DiabetesUK, can confirm 6/8
Other elements of this:

Britain is an international hub, also a small country. This means that we were probably assailed by #CoronaVirus from many countries, and it spread quickly through the country.
It’s even reaches Rutland!
Beside incompetence these are the major factors. Don’t blame just one.
