I love a lot of abstract board games, but the vast majority of them I've only played virtually because sets are either nonexistent or made in small batches by enthusiasts who ask a fair bit for them (and rightly, because non-mass production is expensive and time consuming).
Then it clicked that I basically have what I need to make my own sets, even without messing with woodworking. They don't have to be much: stitched or painted canvas boards, glass gems or stamped polymer clay pieces.
I should just make some. That way, instead of having no one to play online I can have no one to play in person. I just need to decide which one first. Breakthrough is fun and simple. Maybe that.

In this thread I present this as a novel idea when in reality I simply remembered it for the first time since I last felt massively demotivated.
