Just got word a friend of mine passed away. That last time I spoke to him was last August, it was so casual...like things were going well and he was going to be on Steam more often...then we lost touch again. He would come to go over months or years, it felt normal until today.

If you're on the cusp of messaging someone to check in but it's a weird time or its late or whatever, it might be wise to go ahead and do it anyway...
