THREAD

My Top Ten Favorite Reds.

I decided to do a thread since I can’t keep a video under 10 min to save the life of me.

I have no formal make up training other than I’ve been wearing red lipstick almost everyday for 7 years!!
No particular order in this list so I’ll start off with MAC’s “Feel So Grand” from their Retro Matte Liquid Lip lone.

Cost: $22

Color: it’s a rare true red! For a matte liquid lip it’s not drying nor do you need primer.
Fenty Lip Stunna Paint in “Uncensored”

Cost: $25

Color: A “true red” although it’s a bit on the blue side. A good universal red!!!
Pat McGrath Luxe Trance and Major Red.

Cost: $40 Each

Color: Major Red is a warmer toned red with orange undertones and Luxe Trance is a classic deeper toned red with blue undertones. These are a Satin finish lip but they have a strong staying power.
BBIA “Extra Red”

Cost: 10

Color: deep red with blue undertones. The promise of a velvet matte is definitely strong with this one. The staying power isn’t incredibly strong but it’s good for its price.
Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Sarafine and American Doll

Cost: $22 each

Color: Sarafine is a deep, blue toned red and American Doll is a bright true red. Both are a bit drying as far as liquid mattes go and you definitely need some sort of lip primer for this.
Maybelline’s Siren in Scarlett

Cost: $8

Color: Warmer toned medium red in a semi matte finish
MAC’s Russian Red

Cost: $18

Color: Medium dark cool toned red. I call this one “Ruby Woo’s Subtle Sister”. This is my “business” red as this is the one I typically wear to work.
Wet and Wild’s Undercover Lover

Cost: 4

Color: True Americana red! It’s very 50s housewife. Matte finish!
Besame Cosemtic’s Cherry Red

Cost: $24

Color: Deep red, semi matte finish. What I love about this one is that it’s a dark red that doesn’t look too brown or purple. This particular brand strives to recreate vintage make up.
