there is no such thing as “amab privilege”, don’t act like there is

trans ppl who experience transmisogyny experience hypervisibility. this means that they often experience the worst of demonization and attacks by transphobes & media.

this does NOT mean that trans ppl who don’t experience transmisogyny are ‘not oppressed’ or ‘privileged’ either. at the same time, they are invisible, their issues are often ignored & they have less safe places to escape attacks directed at them.

both groups can simultaneously have different negative experiences, and neither is “worse” than the other. oppression is not a contest to see who can be the most oppressed.
