It always baffles me when I go online and see people talking about how police are bad because
Dang the police in your country are racist and given way more power than they should be and DON& #39;T sign up out of genuinely wanting to do the right thing?

Part of me always feels the urge to stand up for them because over here they really are (generally speaking) innocent and respectable.
It really is a shock whenever I heard about how bad they are elsewhere, it& #39;s like falling into a scary alternative reality.

"way more power than they deserve" is mainly reffering to the fact they& #39;re always armed by the way, police aren& #39;t supposed to carry guns here unless considered absolutely necessary and only specially trained officers are allowed to have them in the first place.
mainly just letting out unrelated frustration rn but good lord is it a stupid idea to give people guns and then try to say "these people carrying murder weapons at all times are here to make you safe :)"
