People have asked me if I’m upset that coronavirus fucked up my book launch, and yes, obviously.
But frankly, my entire career would be better if:
* I hadn’t grown up watching TV for 12 hours a day
* I had gone to an Ivy
* took Spanish instead of French
* Hadn’t graduated in 08

Life is just a big Super Mario level of shit coming at you that you can’t control (the other thing I did was play video games) and all you can do is *try* to jump up at the right times. But you can’t change the game

I’m not sure if this is helpful to anyone or w/e, and I know a book launch is sort of white whine, but thinking about life as a video game has been oddly soothing to me lately
