petr sykora was an absolute madman during the cup celebrations in 2009. he forcibly sprayed sid with champagne repeatedly (he was hurt earlier in the series i think? broke his foot pretty bad iirc blocking a shot, but of course he's in full gear for this)

PETR SYKORA FACT: he held the nhl record for career two-goal games without a hat trick (38) until december 11 2008 when the penguins made it their personal mission to get him one. i believe that's what this pic is from. you can watch the hatty here:

during his playing career petr sykora would, uh, adjust his athletic cup a lot in a very obvious way? i found like 2-3 people online at some point who had taken pics/posted videos of him doing this. here's another example. idk don't ask me

PETR SYKORA FACT: he always wore his wedding ring while playing, my understanding is that a lot of players don't wear theirs during games because of the risk of it getting damaged or lost. not petey! he lives dangerously.
