Not to mention that this seems to be a regression - in the past Funi could at least place text at the top of the screen too, but now all sign TL seems to get lumped at the bottom along with dialogue translation. Wtf?

What's even more depressing is that even the anime services that are "better" with sign typesetting (Crunchyroll and Hidive) are generally only on par with fansubs from like, 2010 at best

Is it really a surprise that the state of legal anime market continues to make me bitter
