today im thinking about how consecution in the dynasty is a system that is designed to keep people in power, in power, indefinitely, that government offices are perpetually occupied by the same people and there is very little chance of political mobility

and by keeping the same people and the same beliefs in power, there is even less chance of any change, whether it be progressive or not, and is reinforced by recycling the people with most power in the dynasty's politics, with the same rigid religious beliefs as the single ruler

and the fact that their religious beliefs are founded on the idea that the person who has lived the most lives are somehow morally and spiritually perfect, or close to perfect, only serves to tranquilize the masses to the upper crust's decisions and mistakes
