#AskingAutistics Given I am still on the waiting list for a professional DX, and the DSM isn& #39;t used much in my country, would it be wrong for me to self-describe as Level 2 ASD? I feel it& #39;s a helpful descriptor for me but I don& #39;t want to overstep any lines. #ActuallyAutistic
(Also, I understand a lot of people have issues with the "levels" thing, and even I agree it& #39;s not a perfect system, but please don& #39;t derail this with complaints about it. I just want to know if it& #39;s OK for me to use the term for myself.)
Alright, a lot of people seem to need this clarified so I& #39;m adding it on to this thread:

I am not new to the autistic community. I& #39;ve known I& #39;m autistic for five years. I& #39;ve just reached a point in my life where I feel some sort of label to describe my needs is necessary.
