Just remembered when I was 11 I chatted with someone on AOL who said she was best friends with NSYNC. She had different accounts for each member that she would log into to "let" me chat with them. I believed this for several months. That was definitely an adult man.

Late 90s AOL was wild, I would say I shouldn't have been allowed online but I also think being online through my formative years let me explore a lot of things safely and kept me out of trouble generally. Can't get in as much trouble IRL if you're addicted to being online!
