Thread: I have COVID19, & while I’m feeling optimistic, I’m also terrified. I did everything I could to protect myself by wearing a face mask & sanitizing my hands as much as I could. I only went out of my house for work, food & a run. I was extremely careful & it still happened.
I didn’t have a fever, a cough & I didn’t feel tired. I did have mild headaches, which I thought were migraines & are pretty usual for me. Monday I started to feel a little congested (not a symptom of COVID19) & Thursday I realized I couldn’t taste or smell anything.
That’s when I freaked out & called my doctor. I was told that I needed a test & they scheduled me for Friday (yesterday)... I got it, waited & prayed. Today I woke up feeling fine, still can’t smell or taste anything, now a mild chest pain but still no fever, cough or fatigue.
I have no idea how I got infected or when. I’m at peace knowing that I tried to protect myself and others as much as I could. I tried, but failed. This is why it is so important to stay home.
I’m feeling positive but I want to share my experience because I felt fine, looked fine and still have the virus. So, take care of yourself and others.
