A reminder: New Zealand’s population is 85 per cent urban. They are as large as Ireland and Norway and Finland. Their capital is three times larger than Manchester. They have tourists and trade from all over the world.
Could it be that New Zealand succeeded because they locked down, suddenly and surely, before a single person died, and didn’t contemplate herd immunity for a second?
And they have a leader who sees humans before dubious graphs and economics?
