Having recently enjoyed the audiobook, now watching the movie.
The Sisters Brothers was my last of the #TOBSuperRooster books to read.
I gave it 5 slices of pie. đŸ„§đŸ„§đŸ„§đŸ„§đŸ„§
I did not expect to like The Sisters Bros as much as l did.
The spouse has already seen the film. I remember discussing whether or not to watch it but I didn’t want to; because I had not yet read the book.
I do not like to see a movie if I know the book is supposed to be good. When I see-then-read, the movie is often the better rendition!
(This happened for me for Stardust.) I can’t think of other examples but somehow believe this to be true.
I should tag @susanandbooks - I bet she will be intrigued by this thread.
Oh, TRUE GRIT! True Grit is another book where, somehow, I found both movies to be better than the book!
Ok, so.

So far, this Sister Brothers film is WAY off the book.
But, I don’t feel it necessary to say how...
What I will say is this:

I am extremely glad that I did not know which actors played which roles. Am OK with John C. Reilly being Eli, but... not sure of anybody else!
