All this being stuck at home, looking out the window.

It's got me working on bird watching.
...and tree identification.

You might imagine I know the names of the trees in my yard, after all, I planted most of them, but
You see, we _accidentally_ got like 34 trees from the arbor day foundation, but only like 10 of them survived.
And they all got planted in a little nursery in a rather haphazard fashion.
We made maps to keep track of which bare-root sapling was which, but ya know
Anyway, I have these two crabapples -- I think. They are clearly different! Our original shipments were supposed to have a total of 4 Sargeant crabapples. Little dwarf trees with white flowers
Clearly, that is the one in the front window. It's growing slowly, shows no sign of getting above 6' tall, had lots of white flowers, and little round fruits that the birds enjoyed all winter and spring
But the one in back doesn't match any description of a tree we were supposed to get.

I have concluded that the arbor day foundation *lied to us.*

**sent us the wrong crabapple cultivar by mistake
Just this morning a cute little bird alighted in the mystery tree. I didn't recognize the bird. Two mysteries!
So, I have been searching today.
It is a bit embarrassing how long it took.

But I think I have figured it out. I saw an eastern phoebe sitting in my prairie fire crabapple.
This is the spot a picture should go... But it was hours ago. These tweets are merely to record my final triumph. An hour of wondering about the bird, and 8 years of wondering about my mismatched crabapples.
Ps. While I was poking around, I watched this, which was delightful.

Except: blue Jays are sociopaths
