Trying a more organized NBA Rewatch, starting with the 2000 WCF: Lakers vs Blazers

G1 notes:

- This entire series belongs in an alternate universe (Pippen & Schrempf in POR, Harper in LA)
- You forget how important Glen Rice was to LA; Doug Collins called him part of its Big 3

- DON’T STOP FEEDING SHAQ
- Sabonis was hurt, getting big minutes and invisible. Shaq just tortured him
- Bob Costas talking about Kobe’s engagement has a different feel
- NBC mic’d up the ref, who tossed ‘Sheed for staring too many times. Portland ‘Sheed had zero regard

- LA (and the crowd) didn’t have the same energy in 2nd half. Allowed POR to close the lead to 10
- Kobe just never got going
- Everyone went cold in Q4 besides Shaq
- Greg Anthony had the most blatant clear-path foul I’ve seen
- ‘The Rainmaker’ was making its TV premiere

- Sabonis has ZERO rebounds with 5 minutes left. He’s played 32 minutes so far. My oh my
- Hack-A-Shaq slowed a pretty smooth-moving game down big time. Any momentum was killed, and I’m even more grateful now for the rule in place.
- LA’s weird 2nd half followed them into GM2

Theoretically, you’d think this series was gonna be a blowout, but NOPE.
