ok hannah baker is trending rn and what i have to say rn is that i know many people are like “if you’re triggered by the themes of 13rw, then dont watch it,” ignoring the fact that the romantization of everything in the show introduces the idea of these things to people’s minds.
(tw mention of suicide)- there are probably people who watched the show, never having considered suicide but having bad experiences in their life, that saw the way they portrayed suicide and saw it as an option. they make it look like a solution, like a way to “get back” at ppl
it isnt just about the people with previous suicidal thoughts, it’s also about those who were introduced to the idea by this show. also, hannah baker was not a likable character, and it shows people who went through trauma as being able to move on
(tw: rape/sexual assault) AND the characters who did awful things in the show are the ones who get redemption arcs. they literally tried to make the viewer feel bad for the R*PIST in the show. 13rw shouldnt have kept going nor should it have done “the scene” in the 1st season
