my Easter plans are to make a babka and lamb, call my grandmas, drink white wine in a nice sundress, and study the divine comedy
ok so I am marinating the lamb chunks with onion, unpeeled garlic cloves, orange peels, bay leaf, thyme, clove, olive oil, and a verdejo wine
pat-dried the lamb, browned on all sides in oil, cooked down the other stuff in the marinade until the onions were just translucent
in the meantime I made this cinnamon-cardamom dough for the babka and a spiced chocolate filling with abuelita’s hot chocolate
I attempted the fancy swirly operation and topped with orange zest, poppy seeds, and egg wash. Gonna let this rise for an hour then bake
