Now there *is* actually a conversation that could and should happen about how these models work and how they inform policy but I don't think posting a Wikipedia article for the scientific method and saying "checkmate libs" is the way to do it.

I just can't get away from this whole "modeling is not the scientific method" thing. The stupidity of it is just astounding. Creating models and then validating them and testing them against observations is literally the scientific method.
