Are you ready for a THRIFTY #LOCKDOWNKITCHEN REVELATION?

If you want to know how to turn this pile of rubbish (yes, including the old hosiery) into something totally delicious that will last you weeks, at a cost of less than £1, stick with this THREAD. 1/
So about three weeks ago, it occurred to me I was constantly throwing away my favourite bit of marmalade - the peel. So I started saving it in a bag in the freezer, whenever I had a clementine or orange or used a lemon, in the husk went, until I had enough for my experiment. 2/
I washed everything and removed any black bits, stalks, etc. I boiled all the squeezed lemons (together with a very sad-looking softish orange for about an hour, until soft.
It’s not a guessing game. Stop guessing stuff. 4/
While this was happening, I shredded all the clementine and orange peel (I took some of the pith off the Orange first.) 5/
I got rid of all but half a cup of the boiling liquor and mushed it all up, coarsely in the pan. 6/
Stop with the jokes and the puns. Learn to recognise a soliloquy, rather than an audience participation piece. 7/
