Here beginneth a list of creative endeavours that have been completed* in this house TODAY:

*and, for the most part, started
First up, Meg and Elizabeth, firstborn daughters of our sourdough starter, Sir Thomas More (named by my mother, as being sour and intractable. Yes we are all reading Mantel). Did my sarky comments about sourdough fool you?
Next up, this stunning paschal candle painted by my mother.
Then, this egg. Not the easiest thing to photograph. It's an olive tree, based on a picture of one of the ancient trees in Gethsemane (which is what is written on the back in Classical Syriac - I've had it confirmed through Skype with my sister that it *does* say that!)
Also, a flourless chocolate honey cake for someone's* tranferred** birthday on Monday.

*Matthew's
**who refuses up celebrate his birthday on Good Friday
And this tribute to Henry Moore in marzipan. Sculpture by me and @SchreckerM; arrangement and tactical blowtorching to give the disciples hair: all by Matthew.
Finally, THE ALB. I remembered to do a pocket slit so if anyone compliments it, I can say 'thanks, it has pockets 😊'. Pictured here very crumpled, but I'm so proud of it, especially as it's the first thing I've devised my own pattern for.
Not pictured: cinnamon buns for Easter breakfast tomorrow, thanks to mum, and a card for aforementioned tranferred birthday. Phew. It's been a long day.
