Going by this statement : "The brand new Chinese weapons are in different categories- heavy tanks, LIGHT TANKS and two types of artillery weapons", made by the Chief of Policy + Plans @HQNigerianArmy, Lt Gen Adeosun, it seems that the NA might yet take delivery of VT5 light tanks
Just like the VT4 tank is the "curbed" export variant of the formidable but exclusive-to-China Type 99 MBT, the VT5 light tank is the export model of the Type 15 light tank.

BTW, my reference to "curbed export model" stems from the reality that just like US Army Abrams M1 tanks are more potent than those exported to every other country, so are Russia's own T90 MBTs more potent than those exported to other nations. C'est la vie
